Tourism trade publication launched

The first edition of a new tourism trade publication, Caribbean Hotel and Restaurant Buyers Guide, has been launched.

Published bi-annually by Seren Publishing Inc, a Barbados based company, the publication is targeted at Caribbean hoteliers, restaurateurs & property developers, says a press release.

Over 3,000 properties across the Caribbean have received their first copy of the publication, including hotels and restaurants in the Cayman Islands, said Gemma Lewis, Managing Director & Editor.

‘It is the first publication of its kind, focused entirely on the needs of the Caribbean tourism professional,’ commented Ms Lewis.

‘The magazine has been designed to be used as a sourcing guide, educational tool, and an outlet for research information on the industry. It is free to hotels, restaurants and property developers based in the Caribbean, all others will require a small paid subscription. Subscriptions can be processed through our website at caribbeanbuyersguide.com.’

The publication features: a suppliers directory; a regional and international calendar of events including regional events/holidays and international tourism conventions/trade shows; six separate article sections including food & beverage, housekeeping, furniture & fittings, marketing & PR, environmental, landscaping and maintenance, HR, IT, general management and finance.

It also features suppliers of products and services to the industry.

Contributions have been made by leading industry specialists including KPMG; Resort Condominiums International; PKF Research; Cricket World Cup Legal Counsel; the Green Hotel Association & Bucknell University.

The online version of the publication had been launched in conjunction with the print edition. www.caribbeanbuyersguide.com and features a searchable directory of suppliers and a selection of the articles featured in the publication. Subscriptions to the magazine can also be applied for online.
