We have regularly taken holidays in Cayman for the last 12 year and are staggered at the change in the island, especially on the Seven Mile Beach strip.
What was once a low rise, green fringed frontage, we now see nothing but glitzy high rise buildings, visible right along the beach.
The amount of building work in progress is also very worrying. Be careful Cayman, you are in danger of creating an ugly, concrete mess, lacking character and guests!
It is time to act now before all that was once so charming and typically West Indian has disappeared under the bulldozer.
