Royal Cayman Islands Police have made an arrest in connection with the killing of Marlon Brando Ebanks, which occurred last Tuesday in West Bay.
A 37-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of murder Friday morning.
RCIPS Chief Inspector Peter Kennett said the investigation was on-going and that further leads in the case were being followed up by detectives.
Mr. Ebanks was shot three times in the yard outside his home on Boatswain’s Bay Road Tuesday night. Neighbours reported hearing several gunshots, which some thought were explosions around 9.45pm.
Mr. Ebanks, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime.
His killing is the third homicide in the Cayman Islands this year. It’s the second slaying in West Bay within the past two months.
