A George Town Primary School Teacher who was arrested in late April for suspicion of possessing ganja has now been charged, and is due to appear in court Wednesday.
According to Assistant Customs Collector Trevor Williams, 39-year-old Marius Voiculescu was arrested at Owen Roberts International Airport on 28 April.
Mr. Voiculescu, a Canadian, was suspended from his job shortly after his arrest. He worked as an ICT teacher at George Town primary.
Ministry of Education officials said Mr. Voiculescu will remain on suspension until the outcome of the customs investigation.
