Paintings by Native Son artist Nickola McCoy Snell are being raffled off to raise funds.
The proceeds from the raffle will benefit the artist’s baby, born four months premature, and allow Nickola and her husband Maurice to remain in Miami until the baby is well enough to travel home.
Four paintings are to be raffled off. Raffle tickets are just $10, available from the Morgan Gallery, National Gallery and Trisha’s Roses.
A prolific artist, Nickola was the first female artist to garner the prestigious McCoy Prize for artistic excellence in 2002 and has since gone from strength-to-strength.
The self-taught artist has exhibited at numerous group and solo exhibitions, including at the National Gallery, the Cayman Embassy in London, Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, and at [email protected], held annually at the Governor’s residence on Seven Mile Beach.
Her work can be found in private collections in the US, Canada, UK and the Cayman Islands.
