The Cayman Islands presented the theme ‘Dive 365’ in Las Vegas last week at the Dive Equipment and Marketing Association show.
This year’s theme referred to the project to develop and maintain 365 separate moorings in Cayman, providing scuba divers with a new and beautiful dive spot for every day of the year.
The Department of Tourism had a booth highlighting each of the three scuba diving locales with underwater and dive imagery vignettes that set the three islands apart with their unique attractions.
The USS Kittiwake, soon to be Grand Cayman’s newest dive attraction and artificial reef, created a lot of buzz amongst the dive trade.
Dive operators and tourism affiliates represented at the Cayman Islands Pavilion included the Department of Tourism, Cayman Airways, Sunset House, Red Sail Sports, Divetech, Ocean Frontiers, Brac Reef Beach Resort, Little Cayman Beach Resort, The Club, Conch Club, Divers Down/Cayman Diving College, Don Foster’s Dive Cayman, Lobster Pot Dive Centre, The Breakers Condominiums and Cayman National Watersports Association.
The Cayman Islands DEMA Planning Committee was at the show to welcome people at the event’s start and throughout the weekend.
In addition, a networking session with a prize raffle was held at Rum Jungle, Mandalay Bay.
