East End wins big

East End battered Elite SC 4-1 last weekend in the Cayman Islands Football Association (CIFA) Fosters First Division League competition at the T E McField Annex Play Field in George Town.

East End started the goal rush in the 12th minute with a goal from national representative Carson Fagan. Dominic Pearson made it 2-0 in the 22nd minute ending the first half 2-0 in East End’s favor.

In the second half East End found the back of Elite’s net in the first minute of the game. Elite then took over the game by storm surprising the East Enders with a goal in the 55th minute from Javier Medina.

One minute later Jamal McLaughlin netted the fourth goal for East End ending the game 4-1.

In the other game played at this same venue Academy defeated Sunset 2 -1. Seymour Logan netted in the 3rd minute and Brandon Murray scored in the 78th minute for Academy. Ian Lomas scored his goal for Sunset in the 75th minute.

At the Ed Bush Stadium Scholars International clipped Bodden Town 1-0. Brian Hydes netted the all important goal in the 10th minute.

North Side is still in the lead with fifteen points, Bodden Town is in second place with twelve points followed by Scholars International B on ten, East End has nine, Sunset B with seven points, Academy has six and Elite B has three points.
