The 42-year-old victim, identified as Sherman A. Bodden, known on-air as ‘DJ Jazzy B’ worked a variety of shows on Vibe 98.9 FM.

Police were on scene at the home on Prince Link in the Savannah Meadows subdivision Tuesday morning where the stabbing occurred. Officers were searching the bush next to the house for the weapon used in the homicide.

A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with Mr. Bodden’s death. The Caymanian Compass is not publishing his identity because no charges have been filed in the case.

RCIPS said the 911 centre got a call around 10.45pm Monday reporting that two men were fighting at the house. Mr. Bodden was taken to hospital where he died from what police described as ‘numerous serious injuries.’

It appeared that the fight was domestic in nature and may have involved a dispute over a woman.

‘It would appear that this is an isolated incident and that these two men were known to each other,’ RCIPS Chief Inspector Peter Kennett said.
