Brac voters approve referendum

In the early stages of the referendum count, voters in East End and the Sister Islands were so far approving the proposal.

According to figures from the Elections Office, voters in East End had so far submitted 100 Yes votes, and 56 No votes with four ballots rejected.

In Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, in the final count, there were 362 Yes votes recorded, and 329 No votes with five ballots being rejected.

Elections Office officials cautioned that the East End results were not the full count for that voting district.
