Customers paying their utility bills at post offices in Grand Cayman using the ‘Pay at Post’ service can now pay their cable and internet bills from WestStar/WestTel.
The payment system is designed to provide post office customers to pay all utilities bills in one place. As of this month, most major utility bills – electricity, water, and cable – can be paid at the post office.
Postmaster General Sheena Glasgow said the Cayman Islands Postal Service is always keen to broaden the range of customer services.
‘We are pleased to add WestStar/WestTel to our Pay at Post list of vendors and the fact that it goes right across all three islands is a good development for the post offices,’ she said.
‘There is added convenience as people can save valuable time and gas by staying within their districts,’ she pointed out.
The WestStar/WestTel bill paying service will be available in Cayman Brac and Little Cayman in July
WestStar’s customer care manager Pamela Small said, ‘Our goal at WestStar and WestTel is to continually improve the customer experience. Pay at the Post is an added convenience, particularly for those customers who live in the outer districts.’
Customers are asked to present the WestStar/ WestTel bills along with payments when using the post office bill payment service. Either cash or cheques may be used to make payments. Since post offices will only accept full payments on current bills, customers requiring special assistance with disconnection notices or those wishing to make partial payments must visit the WestStar/WestTel offices at Governor’s Square or off Eastern Avenue.
Further, customers can top up Cable & Wireless and Digicel pay-as-you-go phones, purchase Cable & Wireless Phone 2 Go, and pay garbage collection fees. At the West End Post Office in Cayman Brac, customers can also pay their CINICO insurance.
