St. Ignatius draw for $25,000

Annual fundraiser is 16 December

A grand prize of $25,000 is a feature of the annual St. Ignatius Candlelight Carol Service and Christmas Fundraiser held on Wednesday, 16 December at 7pm in the school courtyard.

The service will include readings for the season, singing of carols, bands and choirs, and a special appearance by Quincy Brown.

The event will conclude with the drawing for the grand prize of $25,000, although ticket holders do not need to be present to win.

Second prize is $2,500, while third prize is US$2500. There are 25 additional prizes, and the prize drawing will be fully audited by KPMG.

All winners will be notified by phone on 16-17 December and results will be posted on the school website:

This is the main annual fundraiser for St. Ignatius, with net proceeds to benefit both the church and the school. The church will invest funds towards the community and religious programmes, while the school will use proceeds to enhance the library, music, art and technology.

Some of the funds raised will go to the scholarship fund, which provides tuition assistance for those families who are unable to afford full fees.

Tickets cost $25 and are available at the school or church offices and from a number of parents, students and church members.

In addition, tickets are available at several businesses, including: Petique, Island Cleaners, GT Automotive, Uncle Bills, Funky Tangs, Blue Marlin and Walkers Road Texaco. They will also be on sale at major supermarkets 1-15 December.
