Bounty Killer charged in hammer attack

Dancehall entertainer Bounty Killer
has again found himself in trouble with the law.

The artiste, whose real name is
Rodney Pryce, has been charged with unlawful wounding.

He was arrested over the weekend in
Jamaica after a woman told police the DJ beat her with a hammer.

Deputy Superintendent Altemorth
Campbell, crime chief for the St. Andrew North Police Division, says the woman
received 19 stitches to a wound to her arm.

But according to Bounty Killer’s
defence attorney, Christopher Townsend, the artiste told the cops he and the
woman were playing at his Oaklands Apartment in St. Andrew when she received
the injury to her arm.

It is reported that the woman did
not want to press charges and that it was her friends who brought the matter to
the attention of the police.

This is not the first time Bounty
Killer is being charged with assaulting a woman.

Over the past three years the
entertainer has been hauled before the court for assaulting his girlfriends.

However, on each occasion, the
charges were dropped after the women told the court that they did not wish to
continue the matter.

The entertainer was also charged
earlier this year with assaulting an off duty policeman.

He and members of his entourage
reportedly attacked a police Constable in New Kingston.

The DJ reportedly pulled a gun on
the policeman.

That matter is now before the Gun
Court.
