Chamber promotes Sister Islands

The Chamber of Commerce will host
the Brac Business Weekend, an event designed to promote business partnerships
and encourage investment into Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. The event is from
29-31 October.

Chamber Council members met earlier
this year with the Sister Islands Tourism Association (SITA) in order to
explore the potential for businesses to use services on the Sister Islands as a
destination for conferences, retreats and board meetings as well as a possible
home for the outsourcing of internet and communications technologies.

Following on from these
discussions, the Chamber and SITA developed the Brac Business Weekend to
connect Grand Cayman residents interested in investment and business
opportunities with Cayman Brac business leaders.

The event aims to highlight the
economic strengths and innovative possibilities available for local and
overseas investors to these Islands, the Chamber of Commerce said in a
statement.

The recent refurbishment and
rebuilding of the Brac’s hotel accommodations will feature prominently during
the weekend, with a trade show at the Alexander Hotel and a barbecue and
reception at the Brac Reef Resort. Special tours and dive packages will also be
available.

The entire weekend will be dedicated
to showcasing what both Islands have to offer potential investors and visitors.

“The Chamber is pleased to have
SITA as a member and we look forward to working with them to promote both the
Brac and Little Cayman as a tourism destination and exciting investment opportunity,”
the Chamber statement said.

In addition to the Brac Business
Weekend, the Chamber is planning further activities to inform Grand Cayman
business owners and external investors about the possibilities and innovative
qualities of economic development in the Islands.
