Conyers Dill & Pearman held a series of dress down days recently to raise money to support children at several primary schools.
The $1,200 raised will go toward school supplies for students at Savannah, John A. Cumber and Prospect primary schools.
The primary schools selected to receive the funds have children of Conyers’ employees registered.
“In today’s challenging economic climate, we are glad to assist the children in this community in meeting their school supplies needs,” said Conyers community education officer Katherine McLaughlin.
Joseph Wallace, principal at John A. Cumber, was also thankful.
“On behalf of the parents and those members of our student body who will benefit from this gesture, I want to express our gratitude to the management and staff of Conyers for their generous donation of school supplies,” he said. “Some of our parents are hurting in the present economic climate and any support that might ease their financial burdens is greatly appreciated.”
