Defending champions George Town will face rivals Scholars International in the first leg of the Cayman Islands Football Association 2010-11 Digicel Cup semi-finals on Sunday 30 January, at 7pm at the TE McField Sports Centre Annex, while 2008 champions Roma United meet East End United at 5pm at this same venue.
At least George Town had the satisfaction of beating Scholars International 2-1 in the league on Sunday at the TE McField Annex. It could so easily have been a draw though because Richard ‘Bulla’ Brown missed a penalty for Scholars in the closing minutes.
The return legs will be played on Sunday 13 February, at a venue and time to be confirmed.
This was announced at the live draw held at the Camana Bay Corporate office in Camana Bay in the presence of the president of CIFA Jeffrey Webb, Kristi Anderson representative from Digicel and representatives of the four semi-finalists last Wednesday.
