Student session focuses on tourism

Students attending the Cayman Islands Further Education Centre 2010-2011 academic year are carrying out a Business Technology Education Council Travel and Tourism course at the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman hotel.

The study incorporates three days of in-class tutorial and two days of work experience in various travel and tourism organisations throughout Grand Cayman.

On Monday, 10 January, students from the Cayman Islands Further Education Centre’s hospitality class spent a morning at the Ritz touring the facilities and participating in presentations on how the hotel approaches customer service and how it caters to the various needs of their customers.

At the end of the session, student Daniel Ebanks expressed thanks on behalf of the class to Valerie M. Hoppe, assistant director of human resources for leading the presentations and organising the tour of the facilities.
