A new nightclub has opened on the popular West Bay Road-Seven Mile Beach corridor.
Elements officially opened its doors to paying customers on Thursday, 3 February, in The Strand, above Vivendi nightclub. The club is the brainchild of Harry Lalli, who explained that the concept – as the name might suggest – is drawn from the four classical elements of fire, water, air and earth.
“Rather than just designing [another] bar, we based it on the four elements; the ground floor [has bars themed] earth and water, upstairs is air and fire. All look into the main courtyard.”
The opening night was attended by many representatives of local hotels, plus tourism and retail professionals. Mr. Lalli said that the new venue is aiming at a market that is not served presently on Grand Cayman.
“The club was set up to be [geared toward] a little more upper end of the market. People complained that there was nowhere [like this] to go to. Being in the nightclub business for many years in the Cayman Islands, I had figured out what they meant.
“A lot of the upper-end tourists we get staying at the hotels and the condominium properties have a lot of disposable income and we have to get places up to standard for that type of clientele.”
