Teens charged in Blackbeard’s incident

The two teens who were chased down by local fisherman and arrested following an attempted robbery at Blackbeard’s in Grand Harbour earlier this week were charged Thursday in connection with the incident.

The men, aged 17 and 18, have each been charged with  attempted murder,  two counts of attempted robbery,  possession of unlicensed firearm,  assault, and  possession of  prohibited weapon.

It is anticipated that they will appear in court Friday morning.

  1. The Law should make an example of them… surely the parents of these teens will say, they were always good boys…. If the law is lenient then the Law is paving the way for other criminals and has failed. They so called teens went to rob with a loaded shotgun obviously they thought about using it. Another point to note is that when these teens go to jail and serve their few months, they return to their peers as heros and it’s like something they could put on their criminal CV. They move up in the ranks of the criminals. Rememeber the popular saying, spare the rod and spoil the child.
