Compass Point Dive Resort has opened its second phase building.
The addition to the resort features a variety of accommodations, including three-bedroom penthouse suites and one-bedroom facilities, which are 1,100 square feet.
“Divers no longer have to sacrifice the comforts of home, nor their wallets, when diving off the beaten path,” said Compass Point managing director, Stephen Broadbelt.
From the design phase, environmental aspects were considered, and a variety of energy-efficient and green initiatives were built into the facility. These include air conditioning powered by propane, hot tubs heated by a heat recovery system from the air conditioning, insulated roofs, energy efficient lighting and reclaimed lumber and recycled car tyres. There is also a recycling centre for cans and glass bottles.
Compass Point Dive Resort is a Green Globe Certified property with a total of 28 condominiums.
