Man mugged on street

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred shortly before midnight Friday, 20 May, in which a masked man mugged a pedestrian in George Town.

Around 11.50pm, police said, the victim was robbed as he walked by Larry’s Tyre Shop on 
Shedden Road.

Police said a masked man appeared from nearby bushes, grabbed the man, pushed an unknown object into his side and demanded money. The suspect ran off with a sum of money. The man was not injured.

The suspect is described as being about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and of medium build. He was wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt and long blue jeans and spoke with a 
Caymanian accent.
