Caymanian Compass searching for adorable baby photographs

Is your baby the most adorable little creature in Cayman? Submit your photos and see.

The Caymanian Compass launched their first Baby and Toddler
competition today to find the most photogenic baby or toddler in the islands.

The public is invited to submit photographs of babies
or toddlers (aged 2 to 36 months) via the website before 14 August. The winner will be notified
on 15 August.

The winning entry will be published in the Caymanian
Compass and online. The winning baby or toddler will also receive a portrait
session with professional photographer Rebecca Davidson of picturethis, which
will include one 8×10 and two 5×7 prints, as well as a booklet with 20 wallet
size photos.

“Babies grow so quickly and I think the beginning
years are so important to capture,” Ms Davidson said. “I personally am baby
crazy, so I believe in running the competition it is not just seeing all the
great baby shots but being inspired by what other parents see as a ‘great’

One of the photographs from the session will be
selected as the cover photo for the Baby and Toddler supplement, which will be
inserted in the Caymanian Compass on Thursday, 15 September.

There will also be a runner-up prize of a free photo
session at picturethis.

Only one entry per baby is permitted and it must be a
recent photo. Photos should be submitted as good quality jpegs (1.5Mb or less)
and should not include other people. The baby should be looking at the camera
and not wearing a hat. Only parents, legal guardians or those with the express
permission of the parents or guardians may submit an entry. They must also be
sole owners of the copyright to any image entered in the competition.
