The Miss Cayman Islands Pageant takes place Saturday, 24 September, at the Lions Centre. The island tour motorcade last Saturday was the last opportunity residents had to see the girls parade in public before the big night.
The 10 contestants, dressed in colourful swim wear, were paraded through Grand Cayman in jeeps. Many cars honked their horns by way of encouragement and lent their support to the convoy.
A Royal Cayman Island Police Service cruiser escorted the motorcade. The contestants made their way through the district of Bodden Town and into North Side, where they stopped for a brief rest. The Miss Cayman Islands contestants are Jadine Swanson, Hettie Ann Dunbar, Janelle Muttoo, Lindsay Japal, Cassianne Lawrence, Alyssa Christian, Jessica Ebanks, Crystal Tomlinson, Jera Ebanks and Samantha Widmer.
