Jeffery Alexander Barnes was scheduled to return to Summary Court today on a charge of indecent assault on a female.
Barnes was brought to court on Friday just before noon, when little was said about the case.
Defence attorney John Furniss asked Magistrate Nova Hall to put the matter over. He said he was making no bail application at that time, as he wanted to talk with Barnes first.
The magistrate said she got the impression if the application were made it would have been contested. Crown Counsel Candia James agreed.
Barnes was remanded to the George Town Police Station and the magistrate ordered a production warrant for 7 November.

Details of the charge against Barnes allege that the incident occurred in George Town on 21 October.
