Heads in the Foster household will be feeling a little chilly today after husband and wife Woody Foster and Sabrina Leacock joined a group of 10 men and women who shaved their heads for charity.
The head shaving, called Be Bold, Be Bald, Be Beautiful, raised more than $55,000 for the Cayman Islands Cancer Society.
Jeffrey Rivers, Craig “Festa” Frederick, Rodney Watler, Oscar Da Costa, Cheryl Byrne, John Lovinggood, Matthew Wight and Ben McDonald also went under the shaver of hairdresser Furious. Some went all the way to shiny-headed total baldness with a finishing touch from a cut throat razor wielded by Adrian Lewis of Bling Bling.
The Fosters are parents of little Charli Foster, 4, who was diagnosed in 2008 with leukaemia and finished treatment in April.
Betty Ann Duty, chairwoman of the local cancer society, thanked those who turned out at Karma restaurant on Thursday night, 8 December, to watch their friends, family members and colleagues boldly embrace the beauty of baldness.
