Ramp welcomed, dump isn’t in BT

Finally someone has come up with a very wise plan to put the boat ramp so long overdue in Bodden town after it was stopped by members of this same government.

They have decided to build it after all on the same location, Coe Wood Beach. Well, that is good.

Now people of Bodden Town, do not be fooled by the two UDP members in the government from Bodden Town; they are the same ones who agreed to bring a dump to our town, driving away the tourists and destroying the image of our beautiful culture and people. The first capital of these Islands, after all these years, is the last to get a boat ramp.

Where is the proper investment and interest from government for our town? We, the people of the first capital, need tourists’ money, too. We need the investors’ money. Why have we been left out of the prosperity, only to be robbed of our quarry materials, which are always trucked to the second capital and West Bay only for us to receive no flow of the money to my town.

Well, we will stand strong against the proposed dump in my town and in all ways possible, we are the real natives of this country and enough is enough; no dump anywhere in Bodden Town or anywhere in the East regardless of who wants to put it there.

I urge all Bodden Towners and all Caymanians to oppose the dump. We already have enough people on Cayman that die from cancer. Send the waste off Cayman, you very wise people.
