Mr. Clarke, 30, was last seen around 9pm on Saturday night on the beach outside Calico Jack’s bar on Seven Mile Beach.
Throughout Monday, police, friends of the missing man and volunteers combed the beach and surrounding areas looking for the West Bay resident.
Police will set up a mobile command post at Public Beach, near the site where Mr. Clarke, a British national, was last seen by his girlfriend and a group of friends Saturday.
Chief Inspector Richard Barrow, the area commander of West Bay said: “I would like to thank the many volunteers who came out today to help with the search. Unless there are any significant developments tonight we intend to resume the search tomorrow morning.
“However, I would appeal to anyone who is thinking of searching later tonight or tomorrow to contact the police staff at the command post first. It is essential that the search pattern is monitored and managed appropriately – and while we appreciate that people do feel the need to do something, we would ask that they do that in conjunction with us.”
Mr. Clarke was last seen shirtless and wearing beige swimming shorts. He is described as a white male, about 5 foot 7 inches in height, with blonde hair, and blue eyes.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr. Clarke, or who may have seen anyone fitting his description since Saturday night are asked to call police at (345) 949-4222.
