Sea search resumes for Nathan

Police resumed the sea search for missing man Nathan Clarke on Wednesday.

Rough sea conditions led to the suspension of the marine searches on Sunday afternoon, as well as Monday and Tuesday. But the seas calmed down enough Wednesday morning for boats to take divers and snorkellers to search sites off Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman.

Mr. Clarke, a 31-year-old Cayman Prep primary school teaching assistant, disappeared around 8.30pm on Saturday, 25 February.

The missing man, from Cheltenham, United Kingdom, was last seen standing by the water’s edge outside Calico Jack’s bar on Public Beach. Since his disappearance, more than 500 members of the public have joined the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service in searching the island and the waters around Grand Cayman.

Fundraising to help pay for the search for Mr. Clarke is ongoing. Students at Cayman Prep have raised more than $7,000 for the fund.
