Interval International and its participating Caribbean member resorts has made another record donation to the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Education Foundation.
David Callaghan, Interval’s vice president of resort sales and service, presented foundation executives with a US$60,000 cheque at the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico, surpassing last year’s $50,000 contribution.
“We are very appreciative of the commitment of our member resorts to the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference Education Foundation. Through our collective efforts, we have had a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of individuals pursuing careers in the hospitality and tourism industry,” Mr. Callaghan said.
“The foundation is able to provide many more scholarships as a result of the donations from valued supporters like Interval and its resort partners,” said Tom Pas, chairman of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference Education Foundation.
“They play a vital role in funding higher education for Caribbean nationals, who in turn contribute to the success of the industry.”
Participating member resorts who donated to the foundation were based across the Caribbean including, from the Cayman Islands, Plantation Village Beach Resort, Seven Mile Beach Resort, and The Grand Caymanian Resort.
