Arts fans – you could do a lot worse than head down to the George Town Public Library for a National Children’s Festival of the Arts exhibition.
The official opening is at 5pm on Wednesday, 23 May.
During the opening, we’re told, parents, students, teachers, community supporters and government officials will have an opportunity to view the work submitted by the students from government, as well as private schools.
The Minister for Education or his designate should be present to declare the exhibition opened, which we’re sure you’ll agree is totally rad, ream, cool, groovy and awesome.
Focusing on the theme
At the opening, students that entered the Better Futures Award will be recognised for their entries.
These entries will be focusing on the theme: Reflect the Resourcefulness of our People using Traditional Caymanian Crafts.
There will also be instrumental music from one of our schools and refreshments served by Women of Hope, Women’s Fellowship.
And for the rest of us the fab exhibition continues from Thursday, 24 May to Thursday, 31 May at the same location during library opening hours.
