Two men in their twenties appeared in court Monday charged in connection with last month’s Cayman National Bank robbery.

Andre Nicholas Burton, 27, with an address in West Bay, was charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit an offence.

He was also charged with being an accessory after the fact, as he allegedly assisted with the getaway following the robbery at the Buckingham Square bank by being the driver of a red Chevy Equinox.

The second suspect, George Eric Mignott, 23, of an address in North Sound Estates, was charged with robbery and with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit an offence.

Both men, who appeared before Magistrate Valdis Foldats, were remanded in custody and ordered to appear before the Grand Court on 20 July.

Burton is represented by attorney John Furniss and Mignott was represented by attorney Nicholas Hoffman.
