Man critical after car crash

Royal Cayman Islands Police are investigating a one-car crash that left the driver hospitalised in critical condition early Saturday.

Police said the collision happened around 2am Saturday, when a Toyota Corolla travelling on Agnes Way near Linford Pierson Highway in George Town crashed into a guinep tree when the driver lost control of his vehicle.

The driver had to be pulled from the wreckage by fire crews using the ‘jaws of life’.

He was still in hospital in critical condition by Saturday afternoon.

No one else was hurt, and police said it appeared no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
