Prison locked out late

The football Sunday League kicked off in earnest over the weekend, however, Prison pulled out of playing this season at late notice, leaving the organisers with only seven teams.

The Sunday League is popular with former players who still love the adrenaline rush and retain their competitive edge and youngsters who want to keep their fitness levels up. Matches are played in the morning at either Ed Bush in West Bay or TE McField Annex in George Town.

Matches are fully officiated and adhere to all the normal football rules with rolling substitutions to make it more player-friendly. Top Cayman Islands players like Carson Fagan and Ariel Tatum have played in the Sunday League in the past.

There are no games this weekend, but a replacement side is needed for the fixtures the following week.

If any players, coaches or officials want to claim that one spot unexpectedly open for a team to join, they should contact the Sunday League organisers on [email protected] Unattached players should get in touch with the organisers because enough of you may come forward to form a team anyway.
