About 2.45pm today, Thursday 1 November 2012, a female receptionist was working within Dr. Borroto’s surgery when she was confronted by masked man brandishing what appeared to be a handgun. The suspect threatened the woman and demanded cash. He then left the premises with a sum of money and was last seen turning right towards Smith Road.
The suspect is described as being about 5’7” in height, slim build, slim face, with a dark complexion. He was wearing large white construction type goggles and mask, white shirt, long dark trousers and black fingerless gloves.
No shots fired and no-one was injured in the incident.
Anyone who was in the area at the relevant time and saw anything which could assist the investigation is asked to call George Town police station on 949-4222 or the confidential Crime Stoppers number 800-8477(TIPS).

You know it’s tough economic times when an armed bandit robs a doctor’s office and demands cash not drugs.
Doctors hardly ever get paid in cash. Guess someone knew that there was cash.
Kind of ironic that this report shares the headlines with one that says ‘Cayman friendliest country in the world’.
Maybe the doctor will get discourage and close down his business welcome to capitalism. THIS THING bigger than all of us.
