The Cayman Islands Humane Society has an evening of fashion, food and fun in store on Thursday, 29 November.
It’s the annual Fashion for the Animals – the animal shelter’s last big fundraising event of the year, and it promises to be a sparkling, festive event.
This year, the highly anticipated dinner and fashion show is taking place in a new venue – at Camana Bay. The fashion show and entertainment will take place outdoors and restaurants on the Crescent will each be offering a special dinner. Those not wanting to eat can always purchase A Fashionable Seat general admission ticket, which includes a complimentary glass of wine and stall seating. Otherwise, one may purchase tickets for dinner or nibbles at either Michael’s, Karoo or Ortanique.
With the festive lights on throughout the town and the Camana Bay Christmas tree as a backdrop, organisers are encouraging those who attend to dress in white, in keeping with the Winter Wonderland theme.
Live entertainment is planned throughout the evening, including a performance by Hi Tide, a soloist who will be singing Christmas carols, and a local DJ, all emceed by Vicki Wheaton. We don’t want to give away too much, but there are also dances, skits and a few other surprises in store.
The famous fashion show begins at 7pm. Around 20 models – including some local dignitaries – will be taking to a specially-constructed runway on the Crescent, accompanied by some of the canine residents of the Humane Society. In addition to dogs dressed in angel wings, there’ll also be fabulous fashion from NKY – and lots of ideas for your fashion wish lists.
Following the show, enjoy live entertainment and fabulous food from the Camana Bay restaurants. NKY has also donated $10,000 worth of designer fashion wear which will be for sale at the event.
It’s a family-friendly evening, with something to appeal to all ages.
Tickets are available for purchase in advance through the Humane Society or at any of the participating restaurants. Tickets also will be available for purchase on the day.
