Man critical after bar attack

A man is in critical condition at the Cayman Islands Hospital following what police described as a “wounding” incident outside a bar on West Bay Road Tuesday night.

Police said at approximately 8.30pm Tuesday there was a disturbance at the vehicle pull-in area in front the Tiki Beach bar and restaurant on Seven Mile Beach.

Police said a 27-year-old man had received a wound to his neck. He was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital in George Town and admitted for surgery.

A 65-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. He remains in police custody while enquiries continue.

  1. The police need crime to stay in business. So they like crime. They tell you it’s down so you like them. We all know it’s up so we want more police to make it really go down. They win. They let bad guys go so the vicious cycle continues. You are owned. I personally interfaced with two detectives about 18 months ago on a rather famous missing person case and they really didn’t care. The person was never found. Which also means the bad guy is still out there. At the end of the day, they like bad guys because it’s actually good for business.
