Primary finals set to be close

The Primary Football League finals bring a close to the popular event this weekend at the TE McField Annex.

This is the most exciting part of the 2012/13 season and all the teams involved are primed for epic games.

Cayman Prep are probably the most keen because their dominance in the Under-9 and Under-11 Champions Cups continued last weekend when both teams qualified
for Saturday’s finals
convincing semi-final victories over St. Ignatius Prep.

Savannah Primary also secured two final spots as they are in the U-9 Champions Cup final and the U-11 Consolation Cup final.

In the U-9 Consolation Cup Prospect Primary will face Bodden Town Primary in the final.

The Under-9 Consolation Cup final is at 9am.

In the Under-9 Champions Cup, fourth-seeded Savannah Primary surprised the previously undefeated No. 1 seed South Sound Schools, 1-0, with Jawan Wray blasting in the winner.

They will play Cayman Prep who beat St. Ignatius 2-0 with goals from Joshua Small and Gabriel Todd.

Savannah Primary face Cayman Prep for the U-9 championship at 10am, while South Sound Schools will play St. Ignatius Prep in the third placed game at 9am.

In the U-11 Consolation Cup Cayman International School face Savannah Primary in the final at 11.30am.

In the U-11 Champions Cup final Cayman Prep are matched with Red Bay Primary for the championship at 12.30pm and St. Ignatius Prep will play
Sir John A. Cumber Primary for third place at 11.30am.
