Man on the Street: What should the new government address first?

What should the new government address first?
CHARLES-MCFIELD

The first thing government should do is negotiate with the UK because things are at a crossroad and the past government had too much disagreement with the UK, so they need to bond back those ties so that Cayman can move forward.” Richard McField

COURTNEY-TUGMAN

They need to put the youths in place in order to respect adults wherever they go to have some respect for the elders. Most of todays youths are very disrespectable.”Courtney Tugman

I think government should first take care of labour. I think they need to get out there and see the many Caymanians that are not working and most of the contractors are foreigners, so they hire who they feel like hiring. I think our leaders need to go on those sites, take off those three piece suits they have on and go out there and see what is going on and don’t take anything from anyone.”Darwin Ebanks

I think the first thing government should do is analyse what went wrong in the past, rectify all the mistakes and re-establish international community and the well being of the island and get the respect back in order to attract the investors we need to boost the islands’ economics.” Giuseppe Gatta

MJ-GOEWEY

“Education should be addressed first. I volunteer at the schools and I think they need a bit of attention.” M.J. Goewey

NELSON-CARTER

“Unemployment, they should make sure Caymanians have their rightful place in society job wise because there are a lot of people who live here and don’t have jobs. Expats are coming in and getting jobs, well fine, someone has to do the work, but what happens to the people who live here, they have to pay bills. They should make sure all policies stand and what they say they will do and make sure crime stays away from the island.” Nelson Carter
