North Side relieved to stay elite

The Premier League for next season will see only one change because North Side managed to hang on to their elite status thanks to a come-from-behind battle with Roma in extra time.

North Side won the playoff 3-2 at the T.E. McField Annex last week to remain in the Premier League.

Roma, who hoped to bounce back after being relegated last term and finishing second in the First Division this year, have to wait at least another season to play
in the Premier League again.

The Under-17 boys FA Cup winners were Academy who beat Future, 1-0. Cayman Athletic won the league, winning 11 and drawing one of their 12 matches, while
Academy were second, seven points behind
on 27.

Top scorers in that league were Athletic pair Jamaal Seymour with 15 and Christopher Myles with 12.

Nicolo Tummins scored nine for Tigers and Academy’s Romario Dixon notched eight, as did Bodden Town’s Raydel Rankine.

The boys U-15 Gold FA Cup winners were Academy who beat Cayman Athletic, 4-3, in the final.

The league champions were Cayman Athletic who won all eight matches, scoring 46 times and only conceding two, as coach Gillie Seymour had another outstanding
year with his youth players.

Academy were
second on 18 points and Bodden Town third with seven.

League top scorer was D’Andre Rowe for Athletic with 17 goals. Academy’s Trey Ebanks hit 13 and Rico Bodden of Bodden Town got eight.
