Suspects arrested in Saturday store robbery

Two people were arrested this week in connection with a liquor store robbery.

At around 1pm Tuesday, Royal Cayman Islands Police Service officers stopped a white Ford Ranger along North Church Street in George Town. The vehicle was believed to be the same one used 8 June in a robbery at Tortuga on North Sound Road.

The two occupants of the vehicle, a 25-year-old male and 24-year-old female, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and are in police custody. The vehicle has been impounded.

The police service is seeking information on the robbery. Those wishing to assist can call any of the police stations or Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).
