Fatal crash in East End

A 26-year-old man was killed in East End early Saturday when the car in which he was a passenger crashed into the sea wall.

Police said they received a report around 1.35am that a Blue Honda Inspire had crashed into the wall near Eastland Drive.

When they arrived at the scene, Emergency Services personnel found the 19-year-old male driver trapped inside the vehicle. The passenger had been ejected from the car in the collision, police said.

Both men were taken to hospital where the passenger was pronounced dead on arrival.
The driver remained in critical condition as of 11.15am Saturday.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the accident to call the Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220.
