shooting of Earl Hart, 22, in his Marina Drive apartment. Two men arrested
earlier in connection with the killing were also released. One of the suspects,
a 31-year-old man, was released without bail conditions. A 21-year-old was also
released, but on police bail

to police, around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, multiple shots were fired into an
apartment on Marina Drive where Mr. Hart stayed. Mr. Hart was taken to Cayman
Islands Hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead early Friday morning,
Oct. 4.

According to court records, Earl Hart had
testified in the murder trial of Chakane “C.J.” Scott after Scott was accused
in the shooting death of Asher McGaw in East End in September 2011. Scott was

RCIPS officers investigating Mr. Hart’s killing

nothing to do with it.
