Taylor made triumph

In Cayman Premier League action over the weekend at the Jimmy Powell Oval, By Rite captain Troy Taylor bowled his team into a commanding position against Greenies.

Taylor picked up six wickets as Greenies were restricted to 126 runs. At one stage, Greenies were in deep trouble losing 7 wickets for 36 runs.

A more than useful partnership between Michael Reid 56 and Kevon Bazil 34 provided some respectability to the total.

Taylor will start the next match on a hat-trick having taken the last two Greenies wickets in his final deliveries. Omar Bryan 42 and Deno McInnis 26n.o led By Rite to an easy victory by 5 wickets.

A waterlogged outfield at Smith Road Oval prevented the other match between Blue Dragons and Gold Sharks. That match has been rescheduled to Mar. 30 as the national team will be participating in the International Cricket Council World Cricket League Division 5 in Malaysia from Feb. 28 to Mar. 15.

The last round of the Cayman Premier League will be played this Sunday with By Rite in a commanding position with two wins and bonus points.
