The East End Surf Challenge had an inevitable winner in the jet ski races in former world champion Gary “GJ” Whittaker.
The Caymanian was the overall winner in the pro class by a huge margin, riding for Team Nuttin 2 Loose. Whittaker dominated both races with a commanding lead that was at a time as much as 24 seconds.
The event’s emcee was Chuck Taylor from Spin FM. Music was provided by Coppershot from Jamaica, Eternal Vibes from Miami, Atom Skillz, DJ X-Rey and DJ Craig.
There was a colorful display of costumes by the Tribal Cayman team featuring their costumes for the upcoming Batabano.

The ever-popular Flowers Bottled Water Fish Tea Cook Off was won this year by former champion Huswell Rankine from East End.
