Ice-cream van crashes in South Sound

A collision between an ice-cream truck and a Chevrolet hatchback damaged both vehicles Wednesday afternoon. Police said the crash happened around 2 p.m. on South Church Street, near Denham Thompson Way, in front of Sand Cay Apartments. The collision knocked the front wheel off the ice-cream truck and shattered the front windshield of the smaller car. Police said one person was injured, though not seriously.
