Three arrested in drug boat investigation

Police arrested three men in West Bay Friday in connection with a drug boat that police chased in North Side waters on Sunday.

Among the three arrested was a man whose photograph police released Thursday. The man, named by police as Jade Brown, was circulated to the media by police after officers found the man’s ID on the boat, which was abandoned in North Side following the chase.

Police found several wrapped packages of ganja which had been thrown overboard after officers on the Niven D. Marine Unit patrol boat spotted the high-speed canoe on Sunday night. The four men came ashore on Sand Point Road around 10 p.m. Sunday, leaving their boat behind on the beach.

The three men, ages 32, 42 and 43, were arrested around 11 a.m. Friday morning in connection with importation of drugs and illegal entry.

  1. And who is complaining about the Marine police and their work.?
People need to support them because they have a Dangerous job to do, and if anyone who think they can do a better job, then get out there miles from the Islands in the middle of the dark night and experience what can take place on the ocean.
Give them good well equipped and fast boats, pay them well and support them. Thanks for a job well done.
