A broken sewer main led to the temporary closure Wednesday of Solaris Avenue, north of Camana Bay.
According to a notification issued by police on Wednesday, the broken main led to the creation of a sink hole “compromising the integrity of the main road in the vicinity of the Solaris Avenue/Esterley Tibbetts Highway intersection.”
Police said signs had been erected at the site and a security officer has been assigned “to monitor the intersection during peak hours.”
The road is expected to reopen by noon on Thursday.
