‘Tis the season of roast turkey, Christmas pudding, Cayman Christmas beef and an excess of bubbly refreshments. To help with the over-indulgence, Cayman’s restaurants offer a variety of meal options for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day which allow revelers to steer clear of the kitchen and be pampered instead. Here is a selection of what’s on offer island-wide.

Agua

Among the favorite seafood restaurants, Agua is serving a Christmas Brunch Buffet on Dec. 25 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The cost is $49 per person for an alcohol-free brunch, or $64 per person with unlimited bubbles. Children ages 6-12 eat for $24.50 per person. The brunch includes a cold buffet with a variety of cured meats, ceviches and other seafood, a hot buffet and carving station, and all-you-can-eat eggs in a range of styles.

On the evening of Dec. 25, Christmas dinner will be served. This will be from Agua’s regular menu with an option for a special set menu.

Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa

Ave’s Christmas Brunch may be sold out, but there are still other Christmas dining options at Cayman’s newest hotel.

Dinner at Ave from 6-10 p.m. features Mediterranean-inspired food with a touch of Caribbean flair, while Avecita hosts dinner on Dec. 24 and 25 with a five-course tasting menu for $88 and additional beverage pairing for $85.

At the Chef’s Counter at 7 p.m., a seven-course tasting menu costs $120 and additional beverage pairing, $110.

For more relaxed south-of-the-border fare by the sea, Coccoloba serves dinner from 5:30-10 p.m. for $58 for an adult, $24 for children ages 6-12 and $12 for children ages 3-5.

The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa

The Westin also offers dining options for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Christmas Eve dinner can be enjoyed at the Beach House from 6–10 p.m. with a five-course meal costing $90. It includes oven-roasted sage-and-maple-glazed turkey breast, crabmeat-crusted island snapper, beef tenderloin and butter poached lobster.

On Christmas Day, Ferdinand’s offers a Christmas Day Brunch Buffet for $88, and $25 for children under 12. Options include a salad bar, seafood and raw bar, sushi bar, charcuterie and garde-manger, soups, mac and cheese and pasta bar, dim sum, turkey, whole roasted certified Angus steamship, Caribbean snapper, Christmas ham, curried goat and leg of lamb. A similar spread will be laid on for the Christmas Day Dinner Buffet from 5:30-8:30 p.m., which also offers a Mediterranean corner, homemade chicken shawarma, creperie and holiday desserts.

On Dec. 24, there will be a special Mad Tea Party from 1:30-4:30 p.m. to kick off the Christmas dining festivities at the Marriott. The Tea Party offers a selection of teas from Tea Time in Cayman, sandwiches, scones and cakes for $30 per person.

Anchor & Den’s Christmas Day Boulangerie Brunch is already sold out for Christmas Day. However, there is still availability for their Christmas Eve Dinner at the Veranda restaurant from 5:30-10:30 p.m. Adults eat for $70 and children for $35.

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman

Christmas brunch at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman may be sold out, but fans of the resort can delight in the fact that the Christmas Feast To Go is still available. A full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings can be delivered to your home or picked up. It serves up to six guests generously. The beef Wellington option costs $380 and the turkey option costs $295. A 20 percent gratuity and $40 delivery charge will be added to your bill, and local delivery is limited to the Seven Mile Beach vicinity. Orders should be placed by Dec. 21.

Abacus/KARoo/Deckers

On Christmas Eve, Abacus in Camana Bay is hosting a Farm to Dinner evening with live music. Cost is $39 per person, or $15 for children. Their menu changes depending on what is in season, but will include local salads, a selection of local fish, Black Angus flank steak, a pasta station and selection of desserts created from local farm produce.

On Dec. 25, Karoo offers its Christmas Day Sunday BBQ Brunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., featuring barbecue pork ribs, beef flank steaks, jerk chicken and pork, and grilled vegetables. A carvery is also available, as well as a selection of side dishes, a hot station and desserts. Adults eat for $30, and children 12 and under for $12.50. Bottomless sparkling is $19 additional.

Deckers will have its all-you-can-eat Caribbean Lobster Night with live music by Hi-Tide on Christmas Eve and is also open for dinner on Dec. 25 from 5-10:30 p.m.

Tukka Restaurant and Bar

Tukka’s Christmas Day brunch is served from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. with morning and afternoon seating times available. Cost is $35 for adults, $17.50 for children, and free for children under 5. Two hours of bottomless bubbles and Sauvignon Blanc is added for $22.

The East End brunch features a carving station with rib eye and turkey; a barbecue and fryer station offering hickory smoked chicken and pork satays; Argentinian chorizo sausage skewers; and a variety of vegetarian options. There will be a cold buffet, breakfast buffet, hot buffet and dessert buffet.

The Lighthouse Restaurant is offering an à la carte dinner on Christmas Day from 5:30 p.m. until closing. The menu includes appetizers such as avocado and Ahi tuna tartare Napoleon, oysters, mussels, and bacon-wrapped jumbo sea scallops. Main courses include a variety of pasta dishes, traditional Christmas turkey and ham dinner, roasted pork tenderloin and rack of lamb. Dessert offerings include beignets, Christmas pudding and baked apple pie.
