Morgan takes gold at college relays

Caymanian Pearl Morgan recently competed at the Principia College Relays in Elsah, Illinois, where she earned one first-place finish and a pair of second-place finishes. Morgan, a senior on the Central Methodist University women’s track and field team, took gold on 1 Feb. in the 300-metre event with a time of 41.92 seconds.

Morgan and her three teammates also set a school record in the 4x200m relay, clocking in a time of 1 minute, 47.92 seconds. She anchored the team, which smashed the previous school record, set in 2017, by five seconds, which was good enough for them to take second place at the meet. The Bodden Town native also ran in the meet’s 4x400m relay, where her team placed second, with a time of 4:15.12.
