Four people were taken to hospital in varying condition Saturday night following a three-vehicle crash, which included an RCIPS service vehicle.
The incident happened about 11:50pm.
In a statement Sunday morning, police said officers responded to the incident on Shamrock Road, Savannah, which involved a Honda Accord, Kia Optima, and an RCIPS Ford Explorer service vehicle.
The driver of the Honda sustained serious injuries, while the two occupants of the Kia sustained what appear to be minor injuries, police said.
The occupant of the Ford complained of pain, it added.
Emergency services attended the scene and all four persons were transported to Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment.
The roadway is currently closed while investigations are ongoing.
Eastbound traffic on Shamrock Road is being diverted through Spotts Newlands Road, while westbound traffic is being diverted through Hirst Road.
The closure is expected to remain in effect through mid-morning Sunday.
