A 29-year-old woman was detained by police after a stabbing incident in the Belford Estates area of Bodden Town Wednesday night.
The woman, who was wounded during a violent clash with a man she knows, has since been bailed.
The incident happened just before 7pm Wednesday.
Police said officers and emergency personnel responded to a report of a stabbing incident at Belford Estates.
It was reported that a man and a woman, both of whom know each other, had a physical altercation during which the man received several stab wounds.
He was transported to the hospital by ambulance where he was treated for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. He was later released.
The 29-year-old woman, of Bodden Town, was arrested in connecting with the incident.
She also received non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.
She was treated at the hospital and returned to custody.
She was later bailed pending further investigation.
The incident is being investigated by the RCIPS Protective Services.
